What is Eastern White Pine?
Eastern White Pine (Pinus strobus) is a large evergreen conifer native to eastern North America.
Recognisable by its characteristic clusters of soft needles, the tree has a long history of traditional and cultural use by Indigenous peoples of North America and later herbal traditions.
The needles have traditionally been prepared as an aromatic herbal infusion or pine needle tea.
Traditional Pine Needle Tea
Pine needle tea has been prepared traditionally for generations and is valued for its distinctive botanical character.
When steeped in hot water, Eastern White Pine needles create an aromatic herbal infusion with a fresh, subtly resinous and forest-like flavour.
Enjoy it on its own or incorporate it into your existing herbal tea ritual.
Authentic Pinus strobus
Correct botanical identification is particularly important when purchasing pine needles for tea.
Our product is specifically sourced as Eastern White Pine (Pinus strobus) rather than simply being labelled as generic "pine needles".
The needles are organically grown, wild harvested and hand foraged in North America before being made available here in Australia.
