How To Thrive During Spring Time

September brings the long-awaited shift from winter to spring (in the southern hemisphere): seeds sprout, flowers bloom, the sun warms the earth. While winter was a time to conserve energy and reduce activity, spring is a time of regeneration and a renewal of spirit.

Tips to have a smooth transition from winter to spring:

  • Get your body moving, walks in the fresh air and sunshine, spending time in the garden and getting your body moving with some stretching, rebounding trampoline and yoga are some great ways to do this!

  • Take advantage of this time of growth, try journalling, mind mapping, manifestation meditations and positive visualisations

  • Springtime in Chinese Medicine corresponds to the Liver energy system, which is closely linked to the emotions anger, frustration and depression. Be conscious to avoid emotional repression. Be honest with yourself, acknowledge what you feel and learn from this awareness.

  • Spring clean your home, products & clothes. Clear out what you no longer need.
